A space to be heard, understood and accepted
Helping you reconnect with your authentic self.
About me…
Hello, I'm Sarah, founder of About You Counselling & Wellbeing.
As a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and Registered Member of the BACP, I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood and accepted. Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck or disconnected from who we truly are, and I'm passionate about providing a safe, supportive environment where you can explore whatever is going on for you.
Both my professional training and personal experiences have shaped the counsellor I am today. I understand the courage it can take to reach out for support and begin making sense of difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences.
Alongside my counselling work, I am also a parent to a neurodivergent child and have personal experience of Autism, PDA and Emotional Based School Avoidance. This has deepened my understanding of the challenges that some individuals and families may face and reinforced the importance of empathy, acceptance and compassion.
My approach is rooted in the Person-Centred belief that you are the expert in your own life. Rather than offering advice or telling you what to do, I work alongside you, providing empathy, acceptance and genuine understanding as you explore your experiences and find your own way forward.
Whether you're experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, parenting challenges or simply feeling stuck, counselling can offer the opportunity to reconnect with your authentic self and create meaningful, lasting change.
A space to be heard, understood and accepted.
Together Creating Space For Change
Change doesn't always happen through having the answers. Sometimes it begins with having the space to explore the questions.
Counselling offers an opportunity to pause, reflect and develop a deeper understanding of yourself in a supportive and accepting environment.
